MDH Clones

To support MDH CURE projects a diverse set of wild-type MDH genes have been codon-optimized for expression in bacteria and cloned into an IPTG inducible His-tag expression vector.  All MDH 6X His Tags are cloned into the C-terminus of MDH.  Where indicated a TEV cleavage site has between the 6XHis tag and the coding region of MDH. Uniprot amino acid sequence numbering was used for creating each clone.  Some numbering may not be the same as other databases. See each MDH Protein Clone Datasheet for specific information.  Sequence verified mutants (wgMDH and other clones) are also available.  Upon request an aliquot of plasmid DNA, or a streaked agar plate can be shipped after a Material Transfer Agreement has been completed .  Contact jessicabell@sandiego.edu (Watermelon and mutants, Arabidopsis, Plasmodium falciparum or Ignacoccus Islandicus) or josephprovost@sandiego.edu (Human, Yeast, Bacterium, other parasite, or support clones).  See protocols page for stability and storage of purified protein.  Coming soon – various clones and mutants will be available directly from AddGene.Com
